PENGARUH MASSFLOW DAN SUHU AIR PANAS PADA HEAT EXCHANGER PIPA-PIPA PARALLEL TERHADAP LAJU PERPINDAHAN PANAS DI DALAM RUANGAN PEMANAS
Heat waste resulted in food production places or processes using energy has not bean
utilized yet, for example heat waste resulted in tahu production stove, heat waste from red
brick production processes and heat waste from tobacco oven or industries. The heat waste
is actually able to be used for heating a room using a device that is called heat exchanger.
Devices used in this research are a prototype room with an overall dimension of 1m x
1m x 1m and a parallel heat exchanger with an overall dimension of 395 mm x 285 mm
respectively. The objective of this research is to know the effect of massflow rate (ṁ) and
the inlet temperature of hot water (Tin) on the average room temperature (TR), the heat
released by the water (quse) and the heat absorbed by the air (qbebas) in the prototype room.
This study was conducted experimentally by varying the massflow rate (12.5 g/s, 14.5 g/s,
16.5 g/s) and the inlet temperature of the hot water (60 °C, 70 °C, 80 °C). The experimental
data were analized using heat transfer theory and anova.
The results show that the massflow rate does not influence the average room
temperature, but the massflow rate and the inlet temperature affect the heat released by the
water and the heat absorbed by the air. The inlet temperature affect the heat released by the
water and the average room temperature. The highest heat released by the water was
obtained at the temperature of 80 °C and massflow rate of 12.5 g/s. It was 135 W, and the
highest average room temperature was obtained at the inlet temperature of 80 °C and
massflow rate of 16.70 g/s, namely 36,72ºC.
