PENGARUH VARIASI RASIO KELENGKUNGAN SUDU TERHADAP UNJUK KERJA TURBIN ANGIN POROS VERTIKAL SAVONIUS TIPE L
Wind turbine is one of the energy conversion device that converts the kinetic energy of wind into mechanical energy. Savonius wind turbine is a vertical axis wind turbine which can rotate at low wind speeds. This research used experimental method by modifying the L type Savonius wind turbine blade with the blade curvature variation ratio is 1, 2, and 5. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of variations in the blade curvature ratio and wind speeds 3,21 m/s, 3,95 m/s, 4,37 m/s, and 4,93 m/s on the performance of vertical axis L type Savonius wind turbine. The results of this research is the maximum rotation shaft 156,6 rpm. The highest coefficient of performance generated by the 1 ratio at wind speed 4,37 m/s which is 19,7%.
