EFISIENSI PENGGUNAAN LIMBAH SEBAGAI BAHAN REFLEKTOR TERHADAP LAJU PERPINDAHAN PANAS PADA PEMANAS AIR TENAGA SURYA (PATS) DENGAN KOLEKTOR SURYA TIPE LINEAR PARABOLIC CONCENTRATING
The trash is one of major environmental problems. The amount of trash in some area are still increase while the optimum method to process hasn’t been enough to overcome the rate of trash. Because of the pile of trash are increase in some area, it is necessary to find a solution how to handle the trash in order to make useful value-added which is the use of solar energy. Linear parabolic concentrating can be used as a solar energy. In this research the plastic trash, cans, and compact disc (CD) are used as reflector material in collector. Experiments to determine the efficiency of absorption of heat in the pipes receiver solar water heater on the performance of linear parabolic concentrating collector placed facing north to the sun has been done .
The size of collector is 1000 mm x 298 mm. The water that used in the test flow based on gravity effect. The water flow is regulated using valves mounted on the output of water tank. The water flow has been used was 200 cc/s, 300 cc/s, 400 cc/s, 500 cc/s, and 600 cc/s, measured by measuring cup and stopwatch. The data has taken during research was incoming water temperature, outcoming water temperature, reflector temperature, and receiver pipe temperature in each collector. The results showed that the energy into the receiver (Qin) , the energy absorbed by the receiver (Quse) and water temperature rise (ΔT) increases with increasing intensity of the sun. The properties and structure of materials effect on performance Qin, Quse, Qloss and Efficiency of heat transfer on the collector. The heat transfer of plastic reflector material is higher than the cans and compact disc ( CD ).
