KETANGGUHAN IMPACT DAN STRUKTUR MIKRO KOMPOSIT PLASTIK DENGAN RESIN POLYESTER, POLYURETHAN DAN EPOKSI
The use of composite materials in the modern world it is today started being
developed, especially in the manufacturing industry. Composite materials are
environmentally friendly and can be recycled again, is the current guidance. Plastic is
a material widely used in the needs of modern human life . But the rest of the plastic
garbage can become a problem for the environment . The aim of this study was to
determine the effect of plastic fiber volume fraction and the type of resin (polyester ,
epoxy and polyurethane ) for impact toughness and microstructure of composite plastic .
Manufacture of composites made by the method of printing and compaction .
Materials used in the manufacture of composite plastic waste as this is fiber . With the
volume fraction of plastic waste 0 % , 5 % , 10 % , 20 % , 30%, 40 % and 50 % . testing
done of the impact test based on the ASTM D256 standard method charphy and
Scanning Electron Microscopy ( SEM ) .
The test results showed that the highest impact toughness with the resin polyestr
and polyurethan at 6.30 kJ/
