SIMULASI VARIASI PANJANG LINTASAN DAN DIAMETER OUTLET FLANGED DIFFUSER TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KECEPATAN ANGIN DENGAN PEMODELAN k-ε DAN SST k-ω
Flanged diffuser is a type of diffuser. The purpose of this diffuser is to increase the wind speed that come through the wind turbine using the turbulence principal. The difference of this diffuser is at the flange or the flat ring at the outlet of this diffuser. This flange is mean to gives bigger turbulence increase. The purpose of this research are to find the increamennt wind effect and the wind power increament effect with variations of diffuser length and outlet diffuser diameter. This research using four types (A, B, C and D) flanged diffuser with the variations of diffuser length and outlet diffuser diameter. On diffuser Type A the diffuser length is 355 mm and the outlet diameter is 1903. On diffuser Type B the diffuser length is 348 mm and the outlet diameter is 2089. On diffuser Type C the diffuser length is 348 mm and the outlet diameter is 2099. On diffuser Type D the diffuser length is 355 mm and the outlet diameter is 1815. The variation of wind speed use 3 m/s to 16 m/s. The turbulence models that use in this research are k-ε dan SST-ω. The result of this research are the bigger the outlet diameter the wind speed increment is become bigger too. On k-ε model, diffuser type C gives the biggest wind increament and power increament. With the wind increament of ΔV= 32,76 % and power increament of ΔP = 57,26 %. While on the SST-ω Diffuser type C also gives the biggest wind increament and the power increament. With the wind increament of Δv = 26,83 % and power increament of ΔP = 50,98 %.
