The activity of traveling between regions creates interactions between air transportation service users
and airports, which in turn require the choice of transportation mode. This study aims to identify the
characteristics of the use of transportation modes, obtain a mode selection model, and obtain the
probability of choosing the mode of transportation. This research was conducted using a questionnaire
technique, namely distributing questionnaires by interviewing prospective aircraft passengers to
determine the characteristics of the use of modes for travel to the airport. The questionnaire sampling
technique uses probability sampling. The analysis method is based on regression analysis, correlation,
and cross tabulation (crosstab), and logit-binary-difference using intermodal regression analysis. The
results of the analysis showed that the characteristics of the mode use consisted of 58.8% using public
transportation (taxis, travel, and damri buses) and 41.2% using private cars, the model equation Y = -
0.722 + 1.919 X1 + 0.124 X2 + 0.155X3 - 0.232 X4, and the probability of choosing a mode pair,
namely: the ratio between private cars and taxis is that private cars have a 41.3% chance and a taxi is
58.7%. The comparison between travel and taxis is travel has a 42.6% chance and taxis 57.4%. The
ratio between private and travel cars is that private cars have a 79.8% chance of traveling and 20.2%.
