DESAIN PERAHU NELAYAN DARI BAHAN KOMPOSIT SANDWICH DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN PERHITUNGAN HIDROSTATIS
The boat is the means used to carry out activities in the waters. Among these
activities are shipping, transport of goods, and fishing for their food needs. In
Indonesia, most of the fishing boats in the wake traditionally are made of wood, this is
done because the wood is considered as material in making the most economical boat
and workmanship can absorb a lot of labor. The wooden boats are still dominating the
boat for connecting transportation between islands in Indonesia in general and for
fishing in West Nusa Tenggara in particular. The more expensive and limited wood
makes a boat made from non-wood continues to be developed. Thus it is necessary to
have the buoyancy of the boat that tall, strong, rigid and able to carry heavy loads are
built with the design drawings or mathematical calculations using hydrostatic
calculations to meet the desire of the perpetrators of transport services and fishermen.
In carrying out this research, the various stages of the design is to make a plan
outline, the general design of the boat and analyze parameters of hydrostatic.
Results of research conducted by using hydrostatic calculations boat has a
displacement volume 2,5445m3, 2.6080 tons of tons displacement, and coeffeciient
having a value equal to the value of the shape coefficient based method pengoprasian
boat fishing gear.
