PENGARUH BENTUK PIPA SERPENTINE DAN PIPA PARALEL DENGAN 5 SUSUNAN PIPA TERHADAP LAJU PERPINDAHAN PANAS PADA KOLEKTOR SURYA PLAT DATAR DENGAN ABSORBER BATU KERIKIL
The increase in the number of the population causes the increase in the energy
demand. The fossil energy that is used by the people as the source of energy, has now been
deplating. In the row of time, some renewable energies are discovered. One of there energies is
solar energy that can be utilized using a solar collector.
The main component of the solar collector one cover, absorber and pipes. In this study
there are two shapes of absorbers namely serpentine and parallel absorber. The parallel
absorber contains 5 pipes. Meanwhile the absorber is also constructed from gravels with
dimensions of 9,5 - 12,5 mm. The overall size of the collector is 100 cm x 80 cm x 10 cm with
an incline angle of 150
. The working fluid used was water. Which was flowed naturally due the
gravity from a higher water reservoir. The volumetric flows were varied at 250 cc/min, 300
cc/min, 350 cc/min, 400 cc/min and 450 cc/min.
The result show that the increase in water temperature, heat absorber by the absorber
and the energy using to the collector increase with the observation time. At the volumetric rates
of 350 cc/min of the parallel shape the heat transfer rate achieve the highest value.
