PENGARUH JARAK ANTARA TABUNG KOMPRESOR DENGAN KATUP LIMBAH TERHADAP UNJUK KERJA POMPA HIDRAM (HYDRAULIC RAM)
Water is one of the important thing in the life. The living things like human beings, animals
and plants are need it. But, fulfillment and distribution of water is often constraint by the
availability and the water elevansion level from residence community. Therefore, a certain
irrigation system needs to do to keep the water available in order to fulfill daily needs are by
hyraulic pomp ram. Hydraulic pomp ram works by using water energy that entering it, can
operate 24 hours, oconomical, practical and doesn’t need electric energy and others. So that,
the techonology is suitable to use in the highlands level.
The method that used in this research was experiment research. The hydraulic pomp ram
that used has height specification of air tube was 60 cm and diameter was 3 inchs. Diameter of
input pipe was 1,5 inchs and the ouput pipe was 0,5 inchs. The height falling from pomp was 2
m. The pomps corner falling was 35° and pomps height output was 4 m. The distance variation
between tube compressor and waste valve were 10 cm, 20 cm, 30 cm, 40 cm and 50 cm with
formations input pomp – waste valve – tube compressor (ILK) and input – tube compressor –
waste valve (IKL). In this research the reseercher explains the dependent variable such as;
water discharge, output discharge, maximum pressure and efficiency.
The result of this research shown that the best efficiency on the pomp formations (ILK) with
distance 10 cm has 46,16 ml/s discharge, the maximum height was 6,36 m with the best
efficiency was 22,62%. Meanwhile, pomp formation (IKL) has 44,66 ml/s the best efficiency with
distance 10 cm with output discharge, the maximum height was 6,19 m with 21,61% efficiency.
