PENGARUH SUHU DAN MASSA BAHAN TERHADAP EFISIENSI ENERGI DAN EKSERGI PADA ALAT PENGERING BIJI JAGUNG FLUIDIZED BED
research is concerned with energy and exergy analysis of corn in fluidized
bed dryer. using first law and second law of thermodynamics.The aim of this research
was to determine the effect of temperature and mass of material to energy efficiency and
exergy efficiency of drying in a fluidized. Temperature variations used are 40 oC, 50 oC,
60 oC with a mass of material 1 kg, 2 kg and 3 kg. This research was carried out by flowing
dry air then contacted with corn on fluidized tool to obtain a water content of 13.5-14%.
Results obtained demonstrate the highest energy efficiency is 13,30% achieved at
air temperature of 60oC with a mass of 1 kg, the lowest energy efficiency is 5,92%
achieved at temperature of 40oC with a mass of 3 kg is η = 5.93%. Exergy efficiency
achieved the highest value at an air temperature of 40oC with a mass of 3 kg is η = 2,36%
and the lowest value exergy efficiency is achieved at a temperature of 60oC with a mass
of 1 kg is η = 0.72%. It can be concluded that the higher the temperature of the drying air,
the higher the energy efficiency. Meanwhile the higher the mass, the lower energy
efficiency. However, temperature and mass do not affect the exergy efficiency..
