PENGARUH VARIASI DIAMETER TABUNG UDARA TERHADAP UNJUK KERJA POMPA HIDRAM
The need for water is indispensable for all living things. This is because water is the source of life for the survival of all living beings. For some people to meet the demand for water becomes a problem. For the people who lived on the water source. To overcome these problems required a mechanical equipment that is pump. The hydraulic ram pump was considered quite appropriate to deal with these problems, because several advantages when compared to other types of pumps, which do not require electricity or fuel, the cost of manufacture and maintenance is relatively inexpensive and easy enough manufacturing. In this study will try to develop further by varying the diameter hydraulic ram air tubes with high water output and input mounting position - the waste valve - tube compressor (ILK). In this study used a variation of the air tube diameter of 1.5 inch, 2 inch, 2.5 inch and 3-inch high air tube 30 cm high while the output of water 3 meters, 4 meters, 5 meters and the mounting position input - waste valve - tube compressor (ILK). From this research showed that most large output discharge is at high output 3 meters in diameter air tube 3 inch is equal to 0,066 liters / s. Head highest maximum was obtained on the use of air 3 inch diameter tube that is equal to 10.55 meters. The greatest efficiency with the use of 3-inch diameter tube at high output 3-meter is equal to 23.02%.
