Pengaruh Daya Listrik Terhadap Penurunan Suhu Ruangan Kulkas Menggunakan Elemen Peltier
Cooling machine technology that uses CFC (Cloro Flouro Carbon) can damage the Ozone layer structure. Therefore, it is important to invent a cooling machine/refrigerator that does not use CFC. One of this machines is a thermoelectric refrigerator. This machine operated using a DC power and in this researce the power used is varied. The purpose of this study is to know the effect of power variations on the refrigerator room temperature and COP.
In this study, three identical thermoelectric modules model TEC1-12706 with an overall dimension of 40 mm x 40 mm x 3.74 mm were used. The Modules were arranged in a parallel form. A cooling box with a size of 39 cm x 32 cm x 53 cm was employed to perform experiments. Experimental data were collected using the NI DAQ 9714 interfaced using a LabView program to the PC. The electric power were varied 75.72 W, 114.57 W, 189.81 W with a cooling load of water (600 ml).
The results show that the power affects the refrigerator room temperature. The greater power, the lower the refrigrator room temperature. The refrigerator room temperature with the power of 75.72 W and without load is 16.26 ℃, while with the load of 600 ml is 18.71 ℃, at the power of 114.57 W and without loads, the refrigerator room temperature is 15.62 ℃, while with the load of 600 ml is 17.73 ℃. At the power of 189.81 W the refrigerator room temperature is 14.19 ℃, and with the load of 600 ml, it is 16.35 ℃. Increasing the input power decreases the COP.
