PENGARUH VARIASI TEBAL SERAT SERABUT KELAPA SEBAGAI BAHAN ISOLATOR TERHADAP RUGI KALOR (Heat Loss) PADA PIPA PEMANAS
Heat loss is a loss of energy thermal the flow of fluida in the pipe as a result heat transfer.
Heat transfer occurs in a pipe line high temperature to low temperature. A thermal insulator is used to
reduce this heat transfer.
A research is carried on to study the influence of thickness coco fiber as an insulator against
heat loss. Variation coco fibet are used 0,5 cm, 1 cm, 1,5 cm. the coco fiber wound on 28 cm lengh
pipe. The hot water with 82 ± 1,3 ℃, come in the copper pipe temperature of the in side and of side
pipe will be noted. The result obtained increasingly thick coco fiber, the smaller heat loss that occurs
value and vice versa.
