VARIASI PERGERAKAN PENGELASAN TERHADAP KEKUATAN TARIK, KEKERASAN DAN CACAT LAS PADA SAMBUNGAN PLAT ALUMUNIUM 5083 DENGAN KAMPUH I
Aluminium has a very important role in the construction, but it has pour weldability. To overcome the
shortages, it needs a good arch welding procedure and special tools . The Metal Inert Gas is one of arc welding
method used commonly. The purpose of this research is to analyze the tensile strength, hardness and weld
defects in welding of 5083 plate aluminium with I bead welding. The parameters investigated includes welding
movement patterns C, circular and zig-zag. Hardness testing methods used in this research is the method
Vickers. The results show that the best welds characteristic investigated is produce by zig-zag welding
movement. The tensile strength and hardness of the zig-zag movement has have higest value. The tensile strength
of zig-zag welding movement was 137,4857 N/mm². The welding movement is very influence the Vickers
hardness number of Aluminium 5083 welded. In addition, there is only 1 welding defects found which is porosity
in the weld metal region (metal welding).

1. Pendahuluan
Dalam dunia industri dan teknologi alumunium saat
ini mempunyai peranan yang sangat penting pada
bidang konstruksi, dikarenakan alumunium
mempunyai sifat mampu las yang dapat ditingkatkan
dengan memadukan unsur-unsur logam sehingga
dapat meningkatkan kekuatannya (Wiryosumarto
dkk, 1991).
