INVESTIGASI KEKUATAN BENDING KOMPOSIT HIBRID SANDWICH SERAT FIBERGLASS DAN SABUT KELAPA BERINTI SERBUK GERGAJI KAYU SENGON BERMATRIK POLYESTER

Hybrid sandwich composite is a sandwich composite material more than one layer composed of fiberglass composite and fibricius composite as skin and core in the middle. Composite materials are fiberglass is very easy to obtain affordable economics, coconut husk and sengon wood powder is an abundance of waste is very easy to get on the island of Lombok. This research was conducted to investigate the influence of each constituent component of composite panel hybrid sandwiches of fiberglass coconut fiber combination in sawdust of sengon wood to bending strength. Bending strength testing process against core material (C) made from sawdust sengon wood as core with 25% powder volume fraction. Fiberglass fiber composite (F) made of fiberglass as a skin with a fraction of fiber volume of 30% of random fiber direction. Coconut coir composite (S) made from coco fiber as skin with volume fraction of fiber 30% of random fiber direction. The hybrid composite (FS and SF), fiberglass sandwich composite (FC), coco fiber composite (SC) and hybrid sandwich composite (FSC and SFC) are bending test method according to ASTM-393 standard. The results of the research showed that the strength of the composite bending composers successively from the smallest to the largest was the composite sawdust of sengon wood (8.39 Mpa), coco fiber composite (10.79 Mpa), FS hybrid composite from fiberglass with coconut husk (12.64 MPa), fiberglass fiber composite (14.62 MPa), and hybrid composite with fiberglass composite coconut fiber (21.79 MPa). While the composite bending strength composite of the smallest to the largest is a sandwich composite with coconut fiber SC (9.48 Mpa) and a sandwich composite with Fiberglass Fiber Fiber (16.73 MPa). While for hybrid composite sandwich bending strength with FSC is (19,80 Mpa) and with SFC skin (22,46 Mpa). The strength of bending types for composite C, S, F, FS, SF, FC, SC, FSC and SFC were 8.69 Mpa, 10.6 Mpa, 11.36 Mpa, 11.03 Mpa, 18.36 Mpa , 14,95 Mpa, 9,29 Mpa, 18,71 Mpa and 20,02 Mpa.
