PERBANDINGAN PERFORMA KOTAK PENDINGIN TERMOELEKTRIK DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN HEAT PIPE DAN HEAT SINK DENGAN KIPAS SEBAGAI UNIT PEMBUANG PANAS
The need for technology is growing rapidly. One such technology is the refrigerator. Refrigerator has a function to preserve and refresh food and drinks. However, the existing refrigerators are usually uncompact size, require large power, and able to damage the ozone because most of the refrigerators utilize CFC. For this reason, it is necessary to create a compact refrigerator, low energy and environmentally friendly. This study used a small box as a refrigerator with a size of 24.5 cm x 20 cm x 28.5 cm with 2 modules Peltier SP 1848-27145 type arranged in cascade. The data in the test were logged using the data logger DAQ MX 9714 NI that was connected to the PC using LabView. The electric power used in this experiment was about 22 W with a cooling load of 350 ml of water. The results show that the temperature of the refrigerator room with the heat pipe heat removal unit is lower than with the fan heat dissipation unit. Similarly, using a 350 ml load of water, the temperature of the cooling room by using a heat pipe heat dissipation unit is lower than that of the fan heat dissipation unit. While the COP of refrigerators is affected by the heat dissipation units.
