Pengaruh Variasi Diameter turbin dan jarak Tembak nozzle Terhadap Efesiensi Turbin Air cross flow
Electrical energy is one of the most important needs for human beings. Current energy needs are still dominated by fossil fuel-based energy, such as petroleum, coal and gas. The disadvantage of the fuel is its unfriendly nature, because the result of burning fossil fuels is CO2 which is a greenhouse gas. One way to increase the utilization of hydro energy is to build a water turbine. Water turbines are one of the simplest types of energy conversion, because their manufacturing costs are low and maintenance is easy. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of turbine diameter and the distance of nozzle shot to rotation of turbine water, torque, break horse power, electric power, turbine efficiency and system efficiency in cross flow turbine. This study was conducted by changing the diameter of the turbine and the distance of the nozzle at the cross flow water turbine. The turbine diameter used in this study was 160 mm, 180 mm, and 210 mm with nozzle shot distance of 50 mm, 150 mm, and 250 mm. This research was conducted in Dasan Baru Village, West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. Based on the research that has been done, shows that the diameter of the turbine and the distance of the nozzle has an effect on the efficiency of the turbine. Where the larger the diameter of the turbine and the smaller the nozzle firing range, the greater the turbine efficiency. The highest efficiency was obtained by using a turbine of 210 mm diameter with a 50 mm nozzle shot distance of 51,66 %.
