PENGARUH KONFIGURASI MAGNET TERHADAP UNJUK KERJA MOTOR BENSIN 4 LANGKAH 1 SILINDER
Efforts to improve fuel efficiency and to save the use of fossil fuels are the main focus throughout the world. One of these efforts is to use a permanent magnetic field to improve the quality of the combustion process and reduce fuel consumption. The effect of the magnetic configuration on the fuel magnetization device studied is torque, effective power and specific fuel consumption on a four-cylinder one-cylinder gasoline engine. The diameter and length of the magnetic configuration used were 19,42 mm and 37,4 mm, respectively, the magnetic field strength produced in each configuration was 4,18 Gauss for configuration A, 3,73 Gauss for configuration B and 4,18 Gauss for configuration C. Effect of magnetic field on engine performance, observed at various engine turns at 1500 rpm, 3000 rpm, 4500 rpm and 6000 rpm. The results showed that in C configuration there was an increase in torque, an increase in effective power and a better decrease in specific fuel consumption. The percentage increase in torque that occurs is 1,36%, the percentage of effective increase in power is 1,45%, and the percentage decrease in specific fuel consumption is 13,33%. The above values are obtained in testing with a machine speed of 6000 rpm.
