Pengaruh Variasi Laju Aliran Udara Pada Proses Gasifikasi Biomassa Campuran Kotoran Kuda Dengan Tongkol Jagung Terhadap Unjuk Kerja Mesin 4 Langkah 1 Silinder
The biomass of horse feces and corn cob is found as a waste that is underutilized. Horse manure has contents such as carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen, wich one of them is able to be processed through the gasification process. While corn cobs contain high enough carbon, the high carbon content it is very easy to burn. Gasification is a thermochemical process that converts solid fuel into a gas fuel combustion known as synthesis gas (syngas) where the combustion process use a limited supply of air flow, oxygen or water vapor so that there is no complete combustion. Syngas is a produced throught a gasifier up-draft with different variations in air flow rates of 10 liters/minute, 15 liters/minute, 20 liters/minute, and 30 liters/minute. Each syngas produced is tested to obtain the performance of a 110 CC Suzuki Smash Motor with syngas fuel. Based on the analysis of the application of gasification gas for each variation shows that, for syngas with an air flow rate of 30 liters/minute produces better performances on the engine seen at 4306,66 rpm engine speed can produce the greatest effective power value of 2460,719 watts and the smallest specific value of the fuel consumption effective is 0,00029 liters/watt.seconds.
