Analisis Routing pada Protokol ZRP Menggunakan Metode Energy Aware dan Static Intersection Node di Jaringan VANET Studi Kasus Peta Jalan Kota Mataram
Abstract-VANET is an ad-hoc network that enables communications of vehicle to RSU, vehicle to vehicle, and RSU to RSU. The Network performance depends on the behavior of the protocol in determining routes between nodes. In ZRP protocol, the route can be unreliable, because the nodes that participate in the route could have died due to run out of energy when transmitting packets. The research modified of the ZRP protocol by applying the Energy Aware method which is used to calculate the remaining energy of nodes to determine whether the node can survive and participate in receiving and forwarding the packet to the destination or not. The modified protocol is named E-ZRP. The research also uses the Static Intersection Node as a RSU which functions as a router that can forward packets to the destination node. The research was compared the performance of the E-ZRP protocol to the ZRP, AOMDV, and DSDV protocols on VANET. The results of the research are E-ZRP protocol can improve the performance of the standard ZRP protocol, with increased throughput by 6.63 kbps in the 50 node scenario and 5.67 kbps in the 100 node scenario . Increased packet delivery ratio by 54.67% in the scenario of 50 nodes and 30.80% on 100 nodes. Decreased packet loss by 62.98% in the 50 node and 30.92% scenarios in the 100 node scenario. The decrease in end to end delay by 2.7723 s in the 50 node scenario and 12.2421 s in the 100 node scenario. In the scenario using 50 nodes the E-ZRP performance is better than AOMDV and DSDV. In the scenario using 100 nodes the AOMDV provides better performance. The application of static intersection nodes in the simulation environment and the addition of the number of nodes provides better performance results on the AOMDV and DSDV protocols, but decreases performance on the ZRP and E-ZRP protocols.
