Pengaruh variasi panjang serat fiberglas dan filler tempurung kelapa bermatrik plastik HDPE terhadap uji tarik dan bending pada komposit
Composite is a material formed due to the incorporation of several materials into one and has new mechanical properties to produce a stronger material. This is driven by the need for materials that can meet the certain desired characteristics. One of the result is composite material. Composite material with fiber reinforcement is one of the expected composite materials in the industrial world. This study aims to determine the effect of the fiber leght of fiberglass and filler coconut shell on bending and tensile strength composite plastic HDPE (High Density Polyethylene). This research uses experiment method. In the manufacture specimens of experimental design for bending and tensile tests use was factorial design (variations in fiber leght were three with three repetitions respectively). While the data analysis uses a one-way analysis of fariance (One ways Anova). In the tensile test the highest value of the tensile strength of fiberglass composites is in the fiber leght of 50 mm is 54,63 MPa and the lowest value in the fiber leght of 10 mm is 36,31 MPa. Similarly to tensile testing, in the bending test the highest bending strength value was found in the fiber leght of 50 mm which was 89,91 MPa and the lowest value was in the fiber leght of 10 mm, which was 67,95 Mpa.
