Pemanfaatan Limbah Panas Kompor Gas Untuk Menghasilkan Energi Listrik DC
The need for energy in Indonesia keeps increasing in line with the rising of economic growth and the increasing of population especially the electric energy needs for household. A technology that may potentially be applied in the household to meet their electrical energy needs is a thermoelectric generator technology. Thermoelectric Generator can convert thermal energy into electrical energy. LPG gas stove's waste heat can be utilized as a heat source. The thermoelectric generator technology is one of the green technologies that possibly needed as an alternative energy. This study utilizes the waste heat from the gas stove by using a 4-type thermoelectric generators SP1848-27145 SA. Temperature in the test was recorded by using data loggers MX 9714 NI DAQ and connected to PC by using LabView. The study was conducted with tools and without the use of tools. Load used in this experiment was a thermoelectrical cooler type TEC1-12706. The results showed that the test without using tools derived calori required to heat the water for 1107792.3 J, testing using the tool 1112679 J parallel circuit and testing using a series circuit 1109675.18 tool J. Test using the tool on a parallel circuit has a calorific fuel combustion 3715833.3 J, 3943333.3 J series circuit, and testing without using heat of combustion of fuel has 2805833.3 J. Highest efficiency obtained in the test without using tools of 39.48%, while testing using tools in series and parallel circuits 28.18% and 29.98%. Loss of heat in the test without the use of tools 1698041 J, Testing using the tool in a series circuit 2832200.4 J and testing the parallel circuit 2601728.8 J . Tests using the instrument in a larger series circuit generates electrical energy compared with tests using a tool on a parallel circuit. Tests on a parallel circuit produces a voltage of 2.191 V, the current 0.367 A, and power 0.804 W. Meanwhile a series circuit produces a voltage of 2.226 V, the current 0.376 A, and a power of 0.837 W..
