Unjuk Kerja Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikrohidro Tipe Cross Flow dengan Variasi Diameter Sudu
In terms of electricity demand in general, it can be said that the coutry of Indoneia is not sufficient for equitable distribution of energy resources, especially in rural areas, especially now that all community activities use electricity as a source of energy. While the energy needs in Indoneia are currently still dominated by fossil fuel-based energy, which is a non renewable energy source and its availability is decreasing so that there is a need for alternative energy such as microhydro power plants. Research the PLTMH is carried out on rice field irrigation channels in Desa Suralaga, Kabupaten Lombok Timur. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the effectiveness of PLTMH performance on blade diameter with variations in the size of 120 mm, 150 mm, 180 mm, and 210 mm with a diameter of turbine 640 mm. The height used in this study was 0,69 m with the average water velocity at 4,6 m/s. The results of study addressed, the highest performance was in the variation of blade diameter 180 mm, with a constant water power of 1046,32 W, turbine power of 100,98 W, turbine torque of 14,67 N.m, turbine efficiency of 9,65 % with rotary turbine 87,0 rpm, and the pecifications of the lights used are 21 W 24 V, with specification the generator power is obtained at 55,07 W, tip speed ratio 0,7942 in turbine rotation 109,08 rpm. Whereas, the lowest performance was obtained at blade diameter variations of 120 mm, with constant water power of 1046,32 W, turbine power of 78,08 W, turbine torque of 13,77 N.m, turbin efficiency of 7,46 % with turbine rotation of 84,6 rpm, and pecifications of the lights used are 21 W 24 V, the lamp pecifications are obtained power generator 48,14 W, tip speed ratio on turbine rotation 102,12 rpm.
