Pengaruh Variasi Volume Serat Batang Pohon Kelapa Dengan Matrik Epoxy Terhadap Kekuatan Bending Dan Tarik
Humans have always been trying to create products that consist of a combination of more than one material to produce a stronger material. This is driven by the need for materials that can meet certain desired characteristics. This study aims to determine the effect of the volume fraction of cocos nucifera fibers on bending and tensile strength composite with epoxy resin. This research uses experiment method. In the manufacture specimens of experimental design for bending and tensile tests use was factorial design (variations in fiber volume fraction were four with three repetitions respectively). While the data analysis uses a one-way analysis of fariance. In the tensile test the highest value of the tensile strength of cocos nucifera fiber composites is in the fiber volume fraction of 25% is 60,39 Mpa and the lowest value in the fiber volume fraction of 10% is 13,64 Mpa. Similarly to tensile testing, in the bending test the highest bending strength value was found in the fiber volume fraction of 25% which was 32,43 Mpa and the lowest value was in the fiber volume fraction of 10%, which was 11,65 Mpa. by using Anova calculations, variations in fiber volume fraction have a significant effect on bending strength and tensile strength.
