Analisa Pengaruh Fraksi Volume Serat Daun Pandan Laut Pada Skins Dengan Matrik Polyester Terhadap Kekuatan Bending Dan Kekuatan Tekan Tepi Komposit Sandwich Dengan Core Polyurethane
Article History: Received Accepted Available online
Composite sandwich with polyurethane core and leaves of pandanussea fibers skin. Polyester use as matrix and pandanussea leaf fibers for skin composite sandwich. Between the layer skin and core applied the pressure for 6 hours in gluing process to get maximum gluing. Volume fraction of fiber as the variabel in this research. Volume fraction of fiber will be variation are 10%, 15%, 20% and 25%. To determine the effect of the water absorption of the composite material, testing standard refers to ASTM C-393 for bending test and ASTM C 364-99 for edge press testing. While the data analysis uses a one-way analysis of fariance (One ways Anova). In the bending test the highest value of the bending strength of pandanussea leaf fiber composites is in the fiber volume fraction of 25% is 8,54 Mpa and the lowest value in the fiber volume fraction of 10% is 6,87 Mpa. Calculation of one ways anova α=0,05 was found F hitung 33,57 and F tabel 4,06. Similarly to bending testing, in the edge press test the highest strength value was found in the fiber volume fraction of 25% which was 24,05 Mpa and the lowest value was in the fiber volume fraction of 10%, 10,95 Mpa. Calculation of one ways anova α=0,05 was found F hitung 29,17 and F tabel 4,06. Based on analysis of variance (anova) show that variations in fiber volume fraction on skins have a significant effect on bending strength and compressive edge sandwiches with polyurethane core and polyester for matrix
