Pengaruh campuran epoxy variasi filler hybrid (fly ash dan CaCO3) pada kondisi kering, semi jenuh dan jenuh terhadap kekuatan tarik
Fly Ash and CaCO3 have their own advantages for filling epoxy, in terms of water absorption and side tensile strength, so hybrid fly ash and CaCO3 need to be investigated further. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of hybrid filler combination (fly ash / CaCO3) on water absorption and tensile strength tested in dry and wet conditions. The main ingredients of this research are combination fillers (fly ash and CaCO3), epoxy resins and hardener epoxy. The filler weight fraction is made constant 20% with a ratio (fly ash / CaCO3) whose composition is (20% / 0%), (15% / 5%), (10% / 10%), (5% / 15%), (0% / 20%). The tests carried out are tests of water absorption and tensile strength (ASTM D638). The results of this test showed that filler reduced water content compared to pure resin by an average of 19.91%. Whereas in tensile strength testing variations in filler composition and dry, semi-saturated and saturated conditions affect the tensile strength. Compared to dry conditions, hybrid fill specimens when semi-saturated conditions of tensile strength value decreased by an average of 32.98% and under saturated conditions tensile strength also decreased by an average of 79.67%. Based on ANOVA test results on tensile tests, the filler composition and treatment of specimens have a significant effect on the tensile strength. However there is no interaction between the filler composition and the treatment of specimens on tensile strength.
