Bioetanol Dari Nira Batang Sorgum Dengan Variasi Urea Dan NPK
Energy needs continue to increase with population growth that continues to grow until now, and the demand for energy sources made from fossils continues to be used, while its availability continues to diminish with a long-term formation process with more consumer use, therefore there is a need to replace the fossil energy source itself, one of which is a source of energy made from vegetable, namely sorghum. The aim of this research is to obtain the optimum ethanol content from the variation in the percentage of Urea and NPK composition in the starter to ferment sorghum stem sap so that it can be used as a study in subsequent studies and can be used as alternative fuels. In this study using variations in the percentage ratio of the composition of urea and NPK namely 3/2, 5/2, 7/2, 3/4, 5/4, 7/4, 3/6, 5/6, and 7/6. The highest bioethanol content was obtained with variations in the composition of 5% urea and 4% NPK with 70% content. So with these results it can be used as an alternative fuel on household appliances namely stoves. The specific gravity results obtained were 0.9138 and a calorific value of 16786,208 J / gram
