In Indonesian Corn is an abundant crop. Postharvest handling aims that corn can be stored for a long time. One method with conventional drying. The weakness of this method depends on the weather and requires a large place for drying. One effort to overcome the disadvantages of conventional drying is by using a dryer made from rice husk. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the number of holes in the combustion chamber on the drying time, drying rate and drying efficiency. This study used a dryer made from rice husk with a variety of combustion chambers. The numbers of holes used were 144, 252 and 360. The mass of dried corn was 4 kg and the air velocity was constant at 2 m/s. The result showed that the number of combustion chamber holes affects the performance of the dryer. The more the number of holes in the combustion chamber, the higher the temperature so that the faster the drying time and the higher the drying rate. The fastest time to dry corn from the moisture content of 19% to 12% occured in the dryer in the combustion chamber with the number of holes 360 which was 65 minutes. The highest drying rate was obtained in a dryer with a number of 360 combustion chamber at 0.0821 gr/s and The highest system efficiency was obtained in a dryer with a number of 144 combustion chamber at 5,53 %.
