Rancang Bangun Sistem Keamanan Sepeda Motor Berbasis Arduino Dengan Smartphone Sebagai Kendali
Recently, the case of motor vehicle theft is quite high. The mode of motorcycle theft operations varies greatly, including by activating ignition, fraud, and appropriation as well as the easiest way by making duplicate keys so that the perpetrators will easily carry off the victim's motorcycle. In the NTB region, especially Mataram city, the crime rates are quite high. Throughout 2013, Mataram’s regional Police recorded 1,875 criminal cases. Of the amount mentioned, only 1,239 cases or 66.08 percent have been successfully resolved. The crimes that occur in Mataram city are dominated by cases of motor vehicle theft which reached 345 cases. Several ways can be done to prevent motor vehicle theft. One of which is by adding GPS (Global Positioning System), Arduino and GPRS / GSM modules on motorcycles that will be controlled via a Smartphone. This study aims to design an Arduino-based motorcycle safety system using a smartphone as a control device. This system is made using a vibration sensor, GPS module, GPRS / GSM module and master key. This research implements IoT for daily life, especially in efforts to oppose the acts of motorcycle theft. The results of this study are an application that are used to monitor and control vehicles using smartphones. Based on the test results was found that the accuracy of the average error distance by GPS module is 3.46 meter and the average time to send notifications in the form of SMS is 3.26 seconds.
