PENGARUH LETAK ELEKTROMAGNETIK ALAT MAGNETASI BAHAN BAKAR TERHADAP UNJUK KERJA MESIN BENSIN 4 LANGKAH 1 SILINDER
The use of a magnetic field in a fuel pipe with a certain strength can affect the engine performance. Apart from the use of permanent magnets, another alternative that can be used is electromagnetic-based magnets. Electromagnetic magnetic fields can be generated with Solenoid and Toroid coil types. From the above, this research wants to know the effect of using variations in the electromagnetic coil distance. The effect of the electromagnetic distance of the fuel magnetization device under study is torque, effective power and specific fuel consumption on a four-stroke, one-cylinder gasoline engine. The diameter and length of the wire used were 0.7 mm and 80 meters respectively, the strength of the field produced for each coil was 4.14 Gauss for Solenoid and 4.63 for Toroid. The effect of the magnetic field on engine performance was observed at various engine speeds at 1500 rpm, 3000 rpm, 4500 rpm and 6000 rpm. The results showed that there was an increase in toroid type for toroid winding, an increase in effective power and for a better reduction in specific fuel consumption in the Solenoid type winding. The percentage increase in torque that occurred was 3.73%, at a distance of 10 cm the increase in effective power was 3.53%, at a distance of 10 cm and the percentage of a reduction in specific fuel consumption was 35.71%. At a distance of 10 cm The above value is obtained in testing with an engine speed of 6000 rpm
