Pengaruh rasio karbon dan nitrogen pada campuran kotoran sapi dan kotoran ayam pada fermentasi thermophilic dalam menghasilkan biogas
Biogas is an alternative energy in the form of methane gas (CH4) which can be burned formed from the decomposition of organic material through an anaerobic fermentation process carried out by anaerobic bacteria. Temperature is one of the important factors that influence the fermentation process. Alternative energy such as biogas needs to be developed to reduce the use of fossil energy. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the C / N ratio in producing biogas under thermophilic conditions (55ºC) with variations in the ratio C / N TP, C / N 30, C / N 35 and C / N 40. This study uses glucose and ammonium sulfate for regulates the C / N ratio, where glucose to increase carbon and ammonium sulfate to increase nitrogen. The results of this study conducted for 30 days revealed that the substrate C / N ratio 35 and C / N ratio 40 with the addition of glucose has highest biogas production volume was produced by 31.47 liters and 49.94 liters. Production of biogas volume for C / N 30 substrate ratio has the lowest yield of 23.04 liters and for C / N TP substrate has biogas volume yield of 25.47 liters. Data on biogas volume production results were obtained during 30 days of research.
