PENERAPAN MANAJEMEN LALU LINTAS DENGAN MENINGKATKAN KINERJA SIMPANG

Cakranegara Intersection is a signalized intersection consisting of four roads
namely Jl. Pejanggik, Jl. Sultan Hasanudin, Jl. AA Gede Ngurah, Jl. Selaparang, with a
two-phase traffic light arrangement namely on Pejanggik and Selaparang roads. There is
always a non-smooth flow of traffic by activities on the side of the road in the form of
market activities and shops that use the shoulders and road. In order to improve the
performance of intersections, this study aims to find alternatives as a solution to improve
the performance of intersections. The alternative is to do not allow all vehicles or limit
the types of vehicles coming from Jl. Pejanggik to get past Jl. Selaparang.
The variables used to analyze the performance of the intersections in this study are
the volume and capacity, where the volume of vehicles obtained from surveys directly in
the field and analyzed using the 2014 PKJI method.
The results of the analysis of the existing conditions obtained values of degree of
saturation> 0.85, this can be interpreted as the intersection is not optimal. Alternative
application is not to allow all vehicles or to limit the types of vehicles coming from Jl.
Pejanggik to get past Jl. Selaparang with the percentage of vehicles turning north and
south at 50%; 50%, 75%; 25%, 100%; 0%, obtained a degree of saturation
