STUDI KEKUATAN TARIK DAN BENDING KOMPOSIT DARI SERBUK KAYU JATI - SERBUK ARANG TEMPURUNG KELAPA DENGAN MATRIK RESIN POLYESTER
Increasing need to produce furniture whose main raw materials are made of wood will result in a lot of wood production that will be reduced. The purpose of this research is to investigate the tensile strength and bending strength of teak hybrid powder composites and coconut charcoal powder with polyester resin matrix. method used is to mix teak wood powder and coconut shell charcoal powder with polyester resin matrix, the volume fraction comparison of teak wood powder and coconut shell charcoal powder is 0% -30%, 5% -25%, 10% 20%, 15% - 15%, 20% -10%, 30% -0%, and made using the hand lay-up method. Specimens and procedures of tensile testing and bending testing refer to ASTM D3039 and ASTM D790 standards. The results of this study indicate that with the addition of the volume fraction of teak wood powder and coconut shell charcoal powder the highest tensile strength in the volume fraction is 30% -0% with a value of 40.71 N / mm2 and the lowest tensile strength in the 5% -25% volume fraction is 26 10 N / mm2. While the highest bending strength in the 30% -0% volume fraction is 60.975 N / mm2 and the lowest tensile strength in the 5% -25% volume fraction is 43.3729 N / mm2.
