Pengaruh Variasi Temperatur Curing Resin Pada Komposit Serat Sisal Terhadap Kekuatan Tarik
Composite is a material in the engineering world that is made by combining twokinds of materials that have different properties. Composite from fiber materials continue to be researched and develoved in order to become an alternative material to replace metal materials, this is due to the nature of fiber composites that are stronger and lighter than metal. The purpose of this study was to characterize the mechanical properties of sisal fiber polyester composites with a fiber volume fraction of 30% (constant) temperature variations in the resin curing temperature of 50 ℃ , 60 ℃ , and 70 ℃ . Making is done by hand lay up process, with a force of 4 kg and held to the desired holding time, dies (molds) are put into the oven for 1 hour and the specimens removed from the mold. After obtaining specimens from each temperature variation then the Tensile testing process is carried out with the ASTM D3039 Tensile test standart. The results of this test indicate that the specimen with the highest tensile strength with a temperature variation of 70 ℃ and with a value of 14.7077 Mpa, and the specimen with the lowest tensile strength with a temperature variation of 60 ℃ with a value of 11.2585 Mpa, for the highest strain of the specimen that is with variations temperature of 70 ℃ with a value 0.9946 and the lowest strain with a temperature variation of 50 ℃ with a value 0.7104, and for the highest modulus of elasticity (E) in the test specimen with a temperature variation of 50 ℃ with a value of 16.8479 Mpa and modulus of elasticity (E) the lowest temperature variation is 700
