Simulasi diffuser terhadap peningkatan kecepatan angin dengan pemodelan k-ε dan SST k-ω
The low wind speed causes the power produced by the wind turbines become smaller than expected. To overcome the conditions with the same rotor diameter, one of the way to increase the wind speed by using a diffuser. This research was conducted by simulation method of Autodesk CFD 2019 software aimed to find out the increase of wind speed inside the entrance diffuser in model k-ε and SST k-ω. Variations were made at a 12° of flanged diffuser angle (R = 5126,90 mm), 16° (R = 3935,13 mm), and 20° (R = 3244,15 mm) with the flange addition and without flange by speed variations of wind entered the inlet external volume from 3 m/s to 14 m/s with interval of 1 m/s. Simulation results showed that on the entrance diffuser occurred the increase of wind speed at flanged diffuser 12°, 16°, and 20°, each results showed the increase above 54%. The simulation results in model k-ε, the highest entrance diffuser value obtained in the diffuser with a 20° flanged diffuser variation with an increase of wind speed reaching 77%, while in model STT k-ω, the highest entrance diffuser value obtained in the diffuser using diffuser 12° with an increase of wind speed reaching 58%.
