PENGARUH JUMLAH COVER ALAT DISTILASI AIR LAUT TENAGA SURYA TERHADAP PODUKSI AIR TAWAR
Indonesia is an archipelago nation of vast seas. 74% of Indonesian is sea and also has 17.499 islands laid between Sabang and Merauke. The vast swathe of Indonesian waters has not yet Indonesian people plenty of clean water. Because it is salt water or seas it can’t directly used for daily needs. Every year in some part of Indonesia fresh water is hard to get. Hence, a simple means of handling seawater to be fresh water to supply clean water for the coastal communities. The study of seawater using an 1 x 0,8 m or 0,8 m2 solar power desalinator was done. The purpose of this study is to find out how number cover effect the fresh water productivity, the desalinator performance and factors affecting the performance of solar desalination. The method used was an experimental method with 3 variations, single cover, double cover, and tripel cover. The study shows increasing number of covers decreases rate of thermal flow in (Qin), and also decreases desalination daily efficiency (ηd) it’s means decreas the fresh water production. Highest fresh water that generate of single cover variation is 0,949 kg, double cover is 0,260 kg and triple cover is 0,094 kg. So the best one is single cover
