Analisa Pengaruh Persentase Luas Area Penampang Ducting Udara Masuk Ruang Pengering Terhadap Laju Pengeringan Ikan Dengan Sumber Panas Kondensor AC
Potential heat is wasted from AC condenser (Air Conditioner) is currently only a waste of energy that is exposed to the surrounding environment. This waste heat has the potential as an energy source that can be used for the drying process. If seen from the potential heat generated by a condenser that is quite large (greater than 3 times the electric power of the compressor and hot air temperature>400C), then the wasted heat is very well used in the process of drying post-harvest food. The purpose of this study was to determine the drying rate of the dryer with an AC condenser heat source, determine the effect of cross sectional area of the air entering the drying chamber on the drying time and to determine the drying efficiency of the dryer with an AC condenser heat source. The results showed that the cross-sectional area of the air entering the drying chamber affected the drying time, drying rate and drying efficiency. The greater area of the cross-sectional area of the incoming air, the greater temperature and air velocity so that the drying time will be faster, the drying rate and efficiency will be higher. The drying time received was obtained at a variation of 100% which is equal to 810 minute. The highest drying rate in the area of 100% is equal to 0,09000 gr/s and the highest drying efficiency can also be obtained at a variation of 100% that is equal to 58,70%.
