SISTEM PAKAR DIAGNOSA PENYAKIT PADA TANAMAN JAGUNG DENGAN METODE DEMPSTER SHAFER
Abstract - Maize (Zea mays) is the third major food after
rice and wheat in the world, and ranks second after rice in
Indonesia. In Indonesia, the productivity of the maize crop
has increased every year. However, maize productivity can
decrease the quantity and quality of crop yields due to disease
attacks and delays in controlling the disease. This research
aims to build an expert system that can diagnose eight types
of maize diseases from 25 symptoms based on the knowledge
of 3 experts using the web-based Dempster-Shafer method.
Testing techniques used in this research are a black box,
theoretical calculations, system accuracy, and MOS (Mean
Opinion Score). The black box test results state that the
expert system has 100% compatibility in terms of
functionality. The theoretical calculations generated a proper
result between system calculations and manual calculations.
The proposed expert system provides accuracy about 87.78%
under testing in 30 sample cases based on the expert's final
score (belief) and based on the value of the belief of each
expert are 93.33%, 90%, and 90% for each expert.
Additionally, MOS testing on 22 respondents gives a score of
4.54 for the college student, 4.68 for agriculture instructor,
and 4.43 for the farmer, which shows that the system can be
categorized into a good system.
