PENGARUH PEMANFAATAN ABU KULIT KOPI SEBAGAI BAHAN TAMBAH TERHADAP SIFAT MEKANIK BETON RINGAN
Concrete is a mixture of Portland cement or other hydraulic cement,fine aggregate, coarse
aggregate and water, with or without additives that form a solid mass. Based on SNI 03-2847-2002,
lightweight concrete is concrete containing light aggregate and has a unit weight of no more than 900
kg/m³. Coffee husk ash is produced from burning in a closed furnace at 600˚ for 3 hours.
This research was conducted using coffee husk ash as an added material to the volume of cement.
Variations in the use of coffee husk are 0 %, 2,5 %, 5 %, 7,5 %, and 10 %. The study was conducted to
find the compressive strength of the compressive and flexural strength of lightweight concrete. The
treatment of the specimens was carried out by soaking for 7 days. The test is carried out on concrete which
is 28 days old.
The test result showed an increase in lightweight concrete for compressive strength and flexural
strength with variations of 2,5 %, 5 %, 7,5 % and for 10 % a decrease of the proportion of 0 % (without
the addition of coffee husk ask). Where the calculations obtained the optimum compressive strength
proportions of 2,587 % with 17,4985 MPa compressive strength and obtained for the optimum flexural
strength proportion of 1,95 % with 2,7365 MPa flexural strength.
