PENGARUH VARIASI JUMLAH SUDU TERHADAP DAYA DAN EFISIENSI TURBIN VORTEX
Hydroelectric power plants or commonly referred
to as micro hydro which usually utilize water with high
water fall heights. As for the low water fall heights have
not been maximally utilized. This is a reference to take
advantage of the flow of water that has a low fall height
by changing into vortex flow. A vortex turbine is a smallscale water-powered power plant that uses the vortex or
whirlpool rules. Vortex pond in laboratory scale and this
research examines vortex turbine with 7 blades, 8
blades, 9 blades and 10 blades, in the form of blades
which are curved blades. The results showed that
turbine power at 0.008 m3
/s flowrate was the highest
power at blade 10 with power of 7,732 watts and flow
rate of 0.009 m3
/s highest power at sud 10 with power of
9,608 watts then flow rate of 0.010 m3
/s power the
highest is in the number of blades 10 with a power of
11,379 watts and in the discharge of 0.011 m3
/s the
highest power is in blades 9 with a power of 12.838
watts, and for the highest efficiency value occurs in the
number of blades 10 at a discharge of 0.008 m3
/s with an
efficiency of 32, 93%.
