The application of security technology is now growing rapidly. In terms of security, all methods require a password for validation. Likewise with the facial
recognition method where each individual has a different face so that it can be used as an identity. In this research, a home security system with facial
recognition will be built. This system takes the characteristics or eigenface of a character image (face) and generates the extraction value. The design of this
system is also designed to be controlled and monitored so that the home security system is higher. The results of this study indicate the results of eigen feature
extraction with an average percentage of 76.11% with a combination of light intensity of 50 lux, 79 lux, and 12 lux. Then the control and monitoring tests
were carried out via Telegram, the test results were obtained by 100%.
