SISTEM MONITORING KUALITAS UDARA DI RUANGAN TERTUTUP BERBASIS IOT MENGGUNAKAN SENSOR MQ-135 DAN GP2Y1014AU0F
Abstract Air quality not only can decrease outdoor, but can
also decrease indoor, especially in the closed room, which is
caused by smoke, dust, LPG gas, and other dangerous gases.
This condition can interfere human health, disturbing, and
can damage properties. In this study, a system was made to
monitor air quality in closed rooms by utilizing IoT
technology that display gas and dust levels as well as air
status to the user. The MQTT protocol is used for data
communication between the IoT device and the web-based
system. Sensor calibration carried out resulted in reading
error value of 0.45% for gas sensor and 0.10% for dust
sensor. Based on tests conducted in two kitchen rooms, the
gas status is in the medium category and the dust status is in
the good category while cooking, whereas after cooking, the
gas and dust status are in the good category. Based on the
results of these tests, the system built has been able to provide
the data for gas and dust levels as well as air status, so that
the system is possible to be implemented.
