smart building is a smart concept that is
used to improve efficiency, security and
synchronization of the use of electronic devices in a
building. The concept of smart building can be made
using the internet of things (IoT) to automate the use
of electronic devices and create security systems. In
this study, IoT and SMS Gateway was implemented by
using arduino as a system control center, PIR sensor
and LDR sensor for automation of electrical energy
control and a simple security system that is connected
with officers via SMS Gateway with the help of GSM
modules. The results of the system that has been built
and tested are the results that are in accordance with
the system design, planned functions, namely
controlling the security system using SMS gateways,
sending security notifications to officers, lighting and
TV automation and sending data to the database. After
tested the system using the black box method, the
results show that the tools has been made can run all
of their functions properly.
