PENGARUH SUDUT SERANG SUDU PADA RANCANGAN TURBIN ALIRAN VORTEX TERHADAP EFISIENSI DAN DAYA TURBIN
Electrical energy is one of the primary human
needs which continues to increase. Dependence on
fossil energy and the minimal use of renewable
energy is one of the weaknesses in the application of
energy policies. Hydroelectric power is an option in
utilizing renewable energy sources. The availability of
water in Indonesia has the potential to be used as a
renewable energy source.
The vortex turbine is a small-scale
hydroelectric power plant that uses a vortex or
whirlpool principle. This study aims to determine the
effect of variations in angle of attack and variations in
flow rate on turbine power and efficiency, as well as
to determine the value of the rotation and torque of
the resulting turbine. This study used an experimental
test method with variations in the angle of attack,
namely an angle of 30 °, an angle of 45 ° and an
angle of 90 ° and a flow rate of 0.006 m3
/s, 0.0083

/s and, 0.01 m3
/s.
The results showed that the greater the angle
of attack of the turbine, the greater the turbine
rotation was obtained, then the greater the flow rate
