ANALISA PERFORMANSI AERODINAMIKA LIMA JENIS AIRFOIL DENGAN METODE KOMPUTASI PADA BERBAGAI VARIASI SUDUT SERANG DAN BILANGAN REYNOLDS
Airfoil is a cross-sectional form that can result in lift force or
aerodynamic effects when passing through an airflow. An understanding of
crustaristic aerodynamics includes lift efficiency, drag coefficient and Cl/Cd
ratio. In this study numerically investigated different types of airfoils to
improve the efficiency of wind turbines used in low-speed wind regions.
One method of airfoil aerodimaika performance analysis that can be used
is CFD (Computation Fluid Dynamic).
The purpose of this study was to find out the results of the
performance comparison from Airfoil and to find out the results of the
Combination of Airfoil and which angle of attack produced the best
aerodynamic performance, using airfoil E387, FX 63-137, S834, S822, and
SD2030 at the angle of attack (α) -5° to 25° interval 3 and Reynolds
number (Re = 1 x 105

, 5 x 105
) using sofwer Ansys R2
2020.
Research on airfoils showed that the addition of attack angles and
Reynolds numbers can increase lift force and lift coefficients for all airfoils,
the increase occurs consistently and stalls at certain angles. Airfoil E387
shows the best aerodynamic performance compared to other airfoils based
on the ratio value (Cl / Cd) produced, maximum point at the angle of attack
= 4° with a value of Cl / Cd = 24.15737648 at reynolds number 1 x 105
,
angle of attack = 4° with a value of Cl / Cd = 27.24578387 at reynolds
number 2 x 105
, angle of attack = 1° with a value of Cl / Cd = 30.33714065
