PEMURNIAN BIOGAS MENGGUNAKAN ARANG BATOK KEMIRI DAN ZEOLIT ALAM DIAKTIFASI KOH
Adsorption means the gaseous compound (adsorbate) is
retained on the surface of the solid (adsorbent) and
trapped by a molecular sized sieve. The adsorption
method is one of the methods used in biogas purification.
In this research using stage system adsorption,
where a one stage test was carried out using candlenut
shell charcoal and natural zeolite first, then the best
results from the one-level test would be used for
purification at the next level. The variations used are nonactivated candlenut shell charcoal, activated candlenut
shell charcoal 10%, 15%, 20% KOH, natural zeolite
without activated, natural zeolite activated by KOH 15%
and the combination of activated hazelnut shell charcoal
is the best and the best zeolite. nature activated KOH
15%.
The best purification results were obtained in a
two-level test using activated hazelnut shell charcoal 10%
KOH and activated natural zeolite 15% KOH. Then
followed by a single stage purification using activated
candlenut candlenut shell charcoal 10%, 15%, 20% and
15% KOH activated natural zeolite with the highest CH4
percentages being 100%, 99.72%, 98.17%, 96,
respectively. 72%, and 85.71%
