PENGARUH VARIASI BUBUR KERTAS SEBAGAI FILLER BERPENGUAT SERAT DAUN NANAS DAN BERMATRIKS POLYVINYL ACETATE TERHADAP KEKUATAN TARIK DAN KEKUATAN BENDING
Utilization of waste paper as a filler and pineapple leaf fiber is a natural fiber as a
reinforcement. The purpose of this study was to determine the tensile strength and bending
strength of composites.
Pineapple leaf fiber reinforced composite, pulp filler and polyvinyl acetate matrix the
method used is pineapple leaf fiber treatment before being soaked in 5% NaOH solution for 2
hours. Then rinse with water and dry in the sun. The fiber is cut to a size 2 cm and printed
using the press method. The tests carried out are tensile test referring to ASTM D3039 and
bending test referring to ASTM D790. The parameters measured are testile strength, tensile
strain, tensile modulus of elasticity, bending strength and bending modulus of elasticity. To
determine the significance of the effect of pulp varian, one-way ANOVA analysis method was
used
The result showed that the highedstensile strength at 50% pulp volume fraction was
2,52 Mpa. The highest tensile strain at 50% pulp volume fraction was 2,16%. The highest
tensile modulus of elasticity at 50% pulp volume fraction variation is 509,81 Mpa. The
highest bending strength at 50% pulp volume fraction variation of 3,19 Mpa. And the highest
bending modulus of elasticity at 70% pulp volume fraction variation is 121,63 Mpa.
