PENGARUH DIAMETER TURBIN DENGAN TIPE SUDU BERPENAMPANG LENGKUNG TERHADAP DAYA DAN EFISIENSI TURBIN VORTEX
Hydroelectric power or what is commonly referred to as
microhydro which usually utilizes water with a high
dropping height. Meanwhile, the low water fall has not
been maximally utilized. This becomes a reference for
exploiting the flow of water that has a low drop height by
converting it to a vortex flow. The vortex turbine is a smallscale hydroelectric power plant that uses a vortex or
whirlpool principle. Vortex ponds on a laboratory scale
and this study examined vortex turbines with turbine
diameters of 270, 320 and 370 mm with the shape of
blades, namely curved blades. The results showed that for
turbine power at a flow rate of 0.006 m3 / s, the highest
power was at 270 mm blade diameter with a power of
3.766 watts and a flow rate of 0.009 m3 / s, the highest
power was at a turbine diameter of 270 mm with a power
of 8.058 watts then flow rate of 0.011 m3. The highest
power / s is found in the turbine diameter of 270 mm with
a power of 10.625, and the highest efficiency value occurs
at the turbine diameter of 370 mm at a discharge of 0.006
m3 / s with an efficiency of 21.631%.
