RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM MONITORING PARKIR PADA FAKULTAS TEKNIK UNRAM BERBASIS IOT MENGGUNAKAN RFID

Vehicles are the main means of supporting the mobility of
life, for that the vehicle must have an effectiveness in the
parking system so that it is safe and comfortable to be able
to do parking. Parking conditions at the Faculty of
Engineering are still done manually so that the parking
information provided is less complete and accurate. The
freedom to move in and out of vehicles on the campus
environment makes it not uncommonly to lose vehicles due
to the lack of parking information which makes it difficult
for security guards to know the number of vehicles that are
parked and exiting, and who is doing the mobility. Radio
Frequency Identification (RFID) is a technology used in the
identification and retrieval of data with a high speed and
minimal error rate in reading data. The design of a parking
monitoring system with RFID is a solution offered from the
existing problems. The way this system works is only by
attaching the RFID card to the RFID reader which is placed
at the entrance of the Faculty of Engineering, then the LED
and Buzzer module will provide notification of light and
sound indicators according to the results of the data reading
process. It is hoped that this system can simplify and speed
up the process of parking at the Faculty of Engineering
effectively and efficiently.
